Charité, one of Europe’s largest university hospitals is a public institution wholly-owned by the state of Berlin, combining high-level patient care with cutting-edge medical research and education. Founded in 1710, it serves as the joint medical faculty for Humboldt and Freie Universität Berlin and is consistently ranked among the top medical centers globally. Charité provides treatment for almost any diagnosed condition across its four Berlin campuses and over 100 departments and institutes.
Role in the project
Charité supports BRIDGE in their role as the leads of the European Testing and Experimentation Facility for Health AI and Robotics (TEF-Health). Additionally Charité brings in strong expertise in the development and operation of Secure Processing Environments (SPEs) for Health Data.
