The Université Bourgogne Europe (UBE) is a French public university located in Dijon, France, founded in 1722. It welcomes around 40,000 students, including 3,000 internationals, and is composed of six faculties, among which the Faculty of Health Sciences is prominent. UBE hosts 28 research laboratories and fully integrates the Dijon University Hospital (CHU) and the Georges-François Leclerc Cancer Center (CGFL). A multidisciplinary and human-scale institution, it combines academic excellence with accessibility and a strong sense of community. In the 2025 Shanghai Ranking (ARWU), UBE is ranked among the top 601–700 universities worldwide, reflecting its growing international recognition.
Role in the project
Through its expertise in pharmaceutical law and regulatory science, developed within the CREDIMI laboratory, the University Bourgogne Europe (UBE) contributes to the legal categorization of complex health products, including Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs). Research conducted at UBE supports the interpretation and adaptation of European pharmaceutical frameworks to address emerging biomedical innovations. The university plays a key role in identifying and assessing innovative technologies suitable for regulatory sandbox experimentation, thereby fostering responsible innovation and legal foresight.
